Connect TikTok to your store
Add your TikTok Pixel to measure ad sales, then fill a TikTok catalog from your product feed.

TikTok keeps two things separate, and product ads need both. The TikTok Pixel tells TikTok what shoppers do on your store — viewing a product, adding to cart, buying. The product catalog holds your products inside TikTok, so ads can show the exact items a shopper looked at.
Before you start
- A TikTok Ads Manager account at ads.tiktok.com — it's free to create.
- Access to your Seltrax admin as the store owner or an admin.
- Your store address — the one your store opens on, like yourstore.seltrax.com or your own domain.
Using your own domain? Check it shows Connected under Settings → Domains first. TikTok can only read your products from an address that opens your store.
Part 1: Add your TikTok Pixel
- 1
In TikTok Ads Manager, open Tools → Events (some accounts show Assets → Events).
- 2
Choose Web Events, then Set up web events, and name the pixel.
- 3
When TikTok asks how to connect, choose to set it up manually — Seltrax installs the code for you.
- 4
Copy the Pixel ID: letters and numbers starting with C. You don't need the block of pixel code.
- 5
In your Seltrax admin, open Integrations, find TikTok Pixel and click Connect.
- 6
Paste the ID into Pixel ID, make sure Active is on, and click Save. The card now shows Connected.
The pixel now runs on every page, including checkout and the order confirmation page. Seltrax sends these events for you, with products, prices, order value and your currency:
- PageView — a shopper opens any page
- ViewContent — opens a product page
- AddToCart — adds a product to the cart
- InitiateCheckout — starts checkout
- AddPaymentInfo — chooses a payment method
- CompletePayment — places an order
- Contact — taps the WhatsApp chat button
Check that the pixel works
- TikTok Pixel Helper: install this free Chrome extension, open your store and click it. You should see your Pixel ID and a PageView. Open a product and add it to the cart to see ViewContent and AddToCart.
- Events Manager: open your pixel under Tools → Events → Web Events and use Test events. Browse your store and the events appear within a few minutes.
Ad blockers and privacy browsers block the pixel. Test in a normal window with them turned off.
Part 2: Add your products to a TikTok catalog
The pixel reports what shoppers do but never uploads products. For that, you give TikTok your store's product feed link. TikTok reads it on a schedule, so new products, prices and stock reach TikTok on their own.
Every Seltrax store already has a feed — nothing to switch on. The link is your store address followed by /feeds/tiktok.xml, for example https://yourstore.com/feeds/tiktok.xml. Open it in your browser to check it: you'll see product data and a line near the top such as "42 products; 3 skipped for a missing title, image or price". Type your store address below to get your link.
https://yourstore.com/feeds/tiktok.xmlExample shown until you type your address.
- 1
In TikTok Ads Manager, open Assets → Catalogs (or Tools → Catalogs), click Create catalog and choose E-commerce.
- 2
Name it, choose your target country or region, and set the currency to your store's currency, for example PKR. Click Create.
- 3
Open the catalog, choose Add products, then Data feed (it may be called Scheduled feed).
- 4
Paste your feed link, set the update schedule to Daily, and leave username and password empty — your feed is public, like your store.
- 5
Click Upload or Confirm. The first import takes from a few minutes to an hour.
- 6
In the catalog, open Event sources (it may sit under Catalog settings), click Connect, choose the pixel from Part 1 and save.
Feed prices are in your store's currency. A catalog set to a different currency causes import errors.
There's nothing to map in the last step: Seltrax uses the same product IDs in pixel events and in the feed, so TikTok matches them automatically. Then create a Catalog Sales or Product Shopping campaign in TikTok Ads Manager and choose this catalog.
What goes into the feed
A product is included when it is Active (not Draft or Archived), its publish date has passed, and it has a title, at least one image and a price above 0. Products missing any of these are left out so they don't cause errors in TikTok.
- Title: the product title, up to 100 characters.
- Description: the product description as plain text, or the title if there is none.
- Price and sale price: a sale price is sent only when it's lower than the price.
- Images: the main image plus up to 10 more.
- Availability: In stock or Out of stock, from your inventory.
- Brand: the product's Vendor, or your store name.
- Product type: the product's Product type, when set.
- Link: the product's page on your store.
Fill in Vendor and Product type on your products — TikTok uses them to approve and target products. Changes reach the feed within about an hour, and TikTok picks them up at its next scheduled update.
Troubleshooting
- Pixel Helper finds no pixel: check Active is on under Integrations → TikTok Pixel and that the Pixel ID has no spaces and starts with C. Turn off ad blockers and reload.
- PageView works but there's no CompletePayment: it's sent when the order confirmation page opens. Place a test order and let that page load fully. For online payments, finish paying and return to the store.
- The feed link says "Store not found": that address isn't your store's. Use the address your store opens on, and for your own domain check it shows Connected under Settings → Domains.
- The feed shows 0 products: your products are probably Draft, or have no image or price. Make at least one Active with an image and a price, then wait up to an hour.
- TikTok rejected some products: open the catalog's Issues or Diagnostics tab. Common causes are a missing brand (fill in Vendor), images that are too small, or a category TikTok restricts.
- Prices look wrong in TikTok: make sure the catalog currency matches your store currency.
- TikTok shows an old version of a product: the feed updates within an hour and TikTok re-reads it on its schedule. You can also run an update by hand from the catalog's feed settings.
Good to know
- Meta uses the same kind of feed: your store also has /feeds/meta.xml for Meta Commerce Manager, with the same products.
- TikTok Shop is separate. This guide connects TikTok ads to your Seltrax store, and shoppers buy on your store. TikTok Shop, where people buy inside the TikTok app, is set up in TikTok Seller Center.
- To turn it off, open Integrations → TikTok Pixel, switch Active off and save. To stop sending products, delete the data feed in your TikTok catalog.
